This May, the AgileCine-modified GSS Cineflex Ultra gimbal filmed the 53rd Antibes Côte d’Azur Rally of the French Rally Championship. More than 170 teams raced cars during the Antibes portion of the championship from May 18 to 20 in Juan-les-Pins.

AgileCine, founded by ZatzWorks creator Daniel Zatz, modified the gimbal for the race. AgileCine upgrades Cineflex systems for aerial videographers by converting V14 and Elite systems to the Red Weapon/Helium and adding enhancements including the Xtreme Horizon upgrade which creates near-perfect horizon, removable front ports, ramping zoom stops, and more. ZatzWorks’ sister company specializes in increased stability and payload variety for expanded gimbal use across a wide range of client preferences.

Mikko of Mikko Aerial operated the gimbal system alongside Pilot Manuel Benitou. The pair previously combined efforts for documentaries, movies, advertisements and sporting events. After using the gimbal system, Mikko said the Xtreme Horizon is “just perfect,” and can’t imagine how he has filmed without it.
